DESCRIPTION

Attracting, selecting, motivating, developing and retaining engaged employees is crucial for the success of organisations in today’s competitive environment. IT and Artificial intelligence grow its impact on HR too. Well established key HR metrics and the way we measure key processes and KPIs has become crucial for companies long term success.

This course will provide you with an overview of the key Human Resource Management (HRM) practices which contribute to the Organizational success and help you to both develop your technical expertise and knowledge and apply this in practical exercises to gain hands-on skill development.

Understanding the importance of HRM in supporting modern organisations, role of HR (HR as a strategic partner, business alignment, future workforce trends, AI and transformation of work)

Recruitment, Employer Branding & AI Hiring

Employer branding, candidate experience, AI in recruitment, selection bias and ethics, competency-based recruitment


Day 3

Employee Motivation, Engagement & Wellbeing

The role of employee motivation in organisational success (motivation theories in practice, engagement, burnout prevention, wellbeing and psychological safety)


Day 4

Total Rewards & Employee Experience

Designing a total reward offer (compensation, benefits, flexible work, EVP, retention strategies)


Day 5

Performance Management & Feedback Culture

Learning culture, experiential learning, digital learning, AI-supported learning


Day 6

Learning, Development & Corporate Learning

Learning & Development – the ways in which individuals learn, corporate learning


Day 7

Talent Management & Succession Planning

HiPo identification, talent pools. succession, retention of key employees


Day 8

Leadership, Teams & Change Management

The critical role of organisational leadership and the role the line manager plays in HRM (leadership styles, team dynamics, leading change, difficult conversations)

Marie is an experienced HR professional, consultant, tutor, and coach. She received a master’s degree in Psychology at Charles University in Prague, in addition, she studied at Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies in Prague and also at Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg. After graduation she worked at diverse HR positions (HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Director) in different industries such as finance & banking, building industry, light engineering, and IT. Currently, she works as an Advisory Manager at the consulting company mBlue, and as a tutor at the Human Resource Management Department of Prague University of Economics and Business, with a focus on exchange students (Erasmus etc.)

Teaching Methods

Lectures, presentations, in-class group discussions, role-plays and exercises, feedback, case studies, homework readings and assignments. You can also look forward to having the chance to consult your ideas or questions with HRM professionals as guest speakers.

CREDITS

You will receive an official Certificate of Attendance upon completion of your course. Please inform the organizing staff if you require any extra supplements, such as Transcript of Records. The student is eligible to receive up to 5 ECTS credits, however please follow the instructions here and consult the acknowledgment process with your university in advance.

ASSESSMENTS

– attendance in class 15%
– team assignment 40%
– individual assignment 35%
– exam 10% (optional, if required by home University)

COURSE TIME TOTAL 125 HOURS

– Course runs 2 weeks Monday to Friday 9:00-14:00
– Total time of in-class work = 50hours
– Preliminary assignment = 10hours
– Preparation = 65hours

PRICE

Course fee includes the course itself, application fee, study materials, afternoon/evening social activities and events, welcome and goodbye drink as part of the graduation party. Other expenses, such as meals, accommodation, insurance, personal expenses, public transportation ticket, extra activities (such as trips outside of town over the weekend and entrance fees), and required equipment (i.e. pencils, paper for illustrations) are not included in the price.

Please note, after the 30th of April 2026 there will be a late enrollment fee charged in the amount of 100EUR on top of the course fee.
