ECTS

By completing a course, seminar, module etc. you get awarded with ECTS-credit points. Every ECTS credit point stands hereby for a certain amount of workload. Typically, one year corresponds to 60 ECTS-credits. A 3-year Bachelors programme has therefore usually 180 ECTS-credits; a 2-year Masters programme usually 120 ECTS-credits.

Thanks to ECTS it became considerably easier, to get courses from different universities or summer schools acknowledged so it is not necessary to do courses already completed all-over again. We have a guide on how to get ECTS during summer*!

STEP BY STEP

  • Select a course and sign up for our ESS
  • Send us an email stating you are interested in receiving ECTS credits on info@europeansummerschool.com.

  • Once the syllabus is approved, fill out an application form
  • Make the payment

* Our students were able to get credits accepted in most cases last year. It always depends on your university or on the student’s tutor.

Illustration Practice

I found out many new things about compositions, colors and painting methods, which helped me to improve my creative, visual and drawing skills. I met lovely people from all over the world and I also learnt something about their culture. I had lot of fun, gained unforgettable memories, and explored a beautiful city – all thanks to European Summer School.

Illustration Practice

I really liked it. The teacher was really good at his job, he could help you no matter what you were trying to illustrate with whatever technique. For me, as someone with absolutely no art experience whatsoever, it was unclear what exactly illustration practice entailed. I had the idea beforehand that it would be more of a drawing course. Nevertheless the course was really valuable: it got me going. The most import thing I learned is probably that you shouldn’t be afraid and just do and try, it will come to you eventually. The course was really helpful. The activities were really nice.

I went on the trip thinking I knew what the school would be about... it was better than anything I could of thought. Everyone was so lovely and it really was a once in a life time trip. It’s taught me how easy it is to live in another country and I was lucky enough to meet different people from different countries and backgrounds. I feel very bless to have had to opportunity. I would easily go again.

Amazing time with people from all around the world. So many cultures, new friendships and experiences make this Summer School a true deal 🙂 Course was challenging and inspiring pushing me forwards and giving me knowledge I need to use on future projects. Organisation and activities were also amazing. Got to meet Prague and experience it fully in those short 2 weeks. All in all, amazing experience and would recommend anyone putting doubts if they should take it or not. Take it!!
